The Idea

Flooring, especially that used in industry, represents about 5 to 10 percent of the total construction costs. It is also the component that is subject to most extreme stress, yet at the same time, the component that is most underrated. No training course or study gives industrial flooring the attention it deserves. This becomes evident in cases of rebuilding and refurbishment, and their consequences.

This was the starting point for our company's business idea: Giving expert advice during the planning, construction and rehabilitation phases and putting it into practice. Alongside the experience gained from the earlier work, technical knowledge and contacts with potential clients is also at hand.

Our tried and tested products have proved effective for years, provided they are employed correctly. Any decision that needs to be made is often the responsibility of the specialist for industrial flooring.

The market is characterised by a very small number of large companies, a few medium-sized ones and numerous small firms. Small suppliers rarely have the know-how necessary to provide the functions and services needed, while medium-sized and major companies often lack the qualified and affordable staff to lay their flooring products. Due to the structures that have arisen, wages that are location-related, and the complicated industrial relations situation, the wage and administration costs have exploded over the years, so that most of the building work is carried out by external staff.

The customer, as contractor, often feels left in the dark due to this "sub-sub-contracting" work, which is often performed by staff who do not speak the language. This is because large volumes are needed to increase profitability in the face of competition, while at the same time cutting overheads. And overheads are often cut by demanding too much of the ever fewer construction management staff – after all, who are the people who make decisions at senior levels in medium to large companies? Thy are to be found in the administration and at admin-oriented management levels.

This brings us to the second pillar of our business concept: Providing an industrial flooring service with specially selected, qualified personnel. From our earlier contacts we have been able to recruit both floor-laying staff as well as building work supervisors who can ensure the faultless implementation of the service ordered, and the ongoing qualification of the personnel doing the work.

To round this off, freelance staff are employed (solely in the field of procurement) who serve our regional markets in North and Southeast Germany (and their growing customer base) with our services.
